Watched the WRIGHT stuff on ch 5 this morning    (yes i have a job i am on afternoons...) There was  a piece on 4x4 bores... he was quite PRO to be honest and stated that it was freedom of choice etc. Ann Diamond was on and stated that she wanted one and when the anti rang up she got shouted down and cut off    . only negative point was when he said if you live in and never go out of the middle of london it was a bit daft to have a big motor, compared it to having a bently though that does 8 mpg and said it was a far better choice.

Dubious statistic said by one of the panel though that a 4.4 rangie gives off less toxicants on a trip from london to brum that a petrol spillage at the forcourt :?  :? mmmmm not sure how much truth in that
It was already broke when i got here... honest!

More than a bit dubious, plain false and anyone that has worked on a forecourt would know this.

Anything spilld on the forecourt is recovered, they arent allowed to drain into the groundwater system. Bout oncea munth all the gack is cleared out.
I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.
