Stolen Defender found
« on: March 23, 2006, 08:03:45 »
Hi,

I live on a street with two working farms - one of which i buy my potatoes from.  Went there just after christmas and one of the farmers warned me to make sure the disco was locked as their farm defender had been stolen.

Went there last week, and the farmer told me that the police had found their defender in a shopping centre carpark and they had got it back.

The best thing was that apart from the lens protectors being removed from the front, the thieves had replaced a broken rear lamp, taken all the old stickers off the defender and thouroughly cleaned it inside and out - even going to the extreme of taking out the gate keys from inside and replacing them after cleaning the inside!  so he also got all his farm keys back and the defender was totally spotless - not seen it like that for 6-7 years (when it was new!!)

A very happy farmer!

great news, probably getting it ready for a new identity..mates girlfriend has hers stoln a few months back..same thing removed the light panel to gain access to the factory alarm..not a happy bunny as the copper told him that its a 2 second job if you know where to look.. needless to say the replacement doesnt have the factory alarm!! he spent over £2000 on quality stuff, even he doesnt know where its mounted!!
