scuba diving padi and open water diving
« on: March 26, 2006, 19:46:38 »
i went for a try at scuba diving at my local swimming pool last week....

in short it was great fun and i have enrolled on the course which seems to be 4 pool dives and 4 open water dives to pass the basic test....

ive got the book and am learning about diving safety.equipment and techniques etc etc.

straight after this i intend to do the advanced course and hopefully dive around the south wales coast amongst other places.

now i am looking for advice on equipment....which bcd....which regulator etc.....whats good and whats bad....and users experience.

also anything else that you can help with.......

please feel free to ramble as all views and experiences are appreciated

Many moons ago (20 years ago in fact) I did a two BSAC divers course at Fort Bovisand, Plymouth. Bloody cold February freezing in the English Chanel is all that I remember. The sea was full of condoms and turds- but appart from that it was fun! Hope I haven't put you off!

You'll probably get better answers on a proper diving forum though:
