It was snowing when I came home from work last night. About 10 pm it turned to hail and it could be heard banging outside when I went to bed.

Got up this morning to go to work and we had between 1/2 an inch and 1 inch  on the ground depending where you were.

It was more like ice going over the pass to Vyrnwy at 6.30 am.

It's been raining on and off all week, very sunny in between.  We've had a couple of hailstorms but no damn snow

What part of Wales were you brought up?

The snow was gone by the time I was on my way back from work.

Caught up with these just before 6 pm.

A picture looking up the pass to Vyrnwy taken a few weeks ago after the snow melt.

The snow was up to your waist at the top before it rained and cleared most of it away.

Just checked on Teletext after beinb told that the M62 was closed over the Pennines between junctions 21 (Milnrow) & 22 (Rishworth, the Saddleworth Moor exit) due to (as it stated) 'Blizzard Conditions'

Also warning of 'Icy Conditions' between 22 & 24 (Halifax)

And all we've had is sleet

I'll have to look over to HolmeMoss & Saddleworth in the morning [-o<

Had a bit of a flurry up here about 11 this morning.  Rest of the day has been sunny but chilly.  Took the dogs to the beach around 6 and you could not see the fells.  Could be well covered on the tops.  Lovely red sunset over Criffel t'other side of the Solway.

rain/hail/sleet/rain/UBERHAIL!/dry up/frost...

not much but last night the hail came down intensely, was covering the road, but lasted barely long enough for me to send the car sideways down a few back roads  :(

doubt there will be any significant snow now for this side of the year. mainly hail/sleet. i miss winter!

Started snowing as I pulled off the motorway yesterday lunchtime with the caravan, and didn't stop until we had finished struggling to get the van back into its space at storage - just long enough to get cold and wet :(

It had all melted this morning - at least I didn't have to scrape the car down to get to work :)

I could have coped with a bit of snow, but thought that the hail was a bit much as we were dragging and shoving the broken racer back into it's parking space.
