I THINK what DM means is that you can make it less if you try. Early double figures sounds about right to me.
Cheers, Karl..

A lot depends on how heavy your right foot is

I had a manual box and towing a medium trailer, managed to get around 17 mpg out of it, a steady 60 and feather touch on the pedal, but normally it was about 12-14 for general driving, autos can depend on how good the box is though, might be worth checking the oil in it to see if it is any good or might be ready for a change

Taking it easy on the M1 I get 18mpg from my V8 auto.. first glimpse of traffic or roads that involve changing speed and it drops like a stone though..

I run a 3.5 efi auto and on my last holiday I towed a 23ft caravan with 2 adults and 3 children and still managed to get 17 mpg....
I think I’m getting about 19-20mpg other wise....
It’s all down to how much right foot your giving it....
Feel free,
Pay for the rest....

use 5 gears and a stick that's the best way to get mpg.but realy who cares the idea is to drive over ,round or through

Hell,
My V8 landy will go down to 3-4 mpg offroad, even less on a winch challenge.
Oh, well it is a 5.9 litre, but who cares about mpg when it makes that V8 sound.
