rear winch
« on: April 14, 2006, 22:43:18 »
got this idea in my head of things to come on disco, one of them will be rear winch eventually!

ive got a few ideas of how to do it, but i dont want to go and do something else and this messes up my plans for winch, if you see what i mean

so i want to design how it is going to be done well in advance and am on the hunt for some pics of discos with rear winchs for a few other peopls ideas.

email to thumbs@floatyourboat.fsnet.co.uk if cant post on here

many thanks thumbs

I'll save you the trouble, go to Goodwinch (Dave Bowyer) and ask for a back-rack winch platform, £60 IIRC.  The you need a decent towball/removable hitch and some cables, or buy the whole bundle including winch ready-made up.  I got mine from Donnington for £600 delivered with a loom for each end of the car, isolator, Dynema rope and EPi9 (I think it's that one) so I only need one winch.
