That was kept quiet
I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.

Hope they don't get halfway through then get an 'out of cheese error - redo from start'
When I leave this godforsaken dump of a place and get a new job, that's going on the web server.

Personally I think a film featuring the City Guard would be better, y'know;

Samuel Vimes
Carrott
Nobby
Fred Colon
Sybil Ramkin
Angua etc......

And of course the 'Dog Botherer'
Richard A Thackeray
Defender 110Td5 'Heritage Gone, but not forgotten
Jaguar XKR; X88 JLT, also 'gone, but not forgotten'

Yorkshire Born & Bred, and proud of it.

999 : errmsg:='Out of cheese error. Redo from start!';

Its out there in some of my software, but not saying where. Another example

if errcode <>0 then messagedlg ('+++ Divide By Cucumber Error. Please Reinstall Universe And Reboot +++',mterror,[mbok],0);

Somewhere, one day, someones going to be looking at their mixer desk wondering what's going on :)

Have to agree with that - just re-reading he guards books again now half way through men at arms at the moment but who would you have playing who?
Would you go for new unkown actors or would you get more established names to play the characters?

This site suggests various castings.
Some I've heard of, some I haven't :?

Ian Hislop as Albert :lol:  ('Reaper Man', 'Mort')
Miriam Margoyles as Mrs Cake
Christopher Ryan as CMOT Dibbler (Mike in 'Young Ones')
Bill Bailey as Foul Ole Ron :lol:
Angus Deaton as Havelock Vetinari (good choice, also Jeremy Brett, t TV Sherlock Holmes)

Anjelina Jolie as Angua

Have a browse

Christopher Walkne as Vetinari. The guy's scary enough out of chracter :)

Theres a Scene in the Prophecy where he's perched on  a roof and the expression on his face just says 'I'm not killing you now because you're interesting'

just been watching comedy connections and they where featuring red dwarf
It was either Rob Grant or Doug Naylor at the end talking about the possability of a red dwarf movie and he was saying that had spoken to an american production company and they had sudgested recasting the roles for a film with .....
Hugh Grant as lister and then they had asked what was Emma Thompson doing these days ..... ](*,)
He said he left the meeting shortly after that.

(more on red dwarf movie here but its a bit old)
