Ford C3 auto box, used in a few old fords mated to series xfer box via conversion plate (maybe ashcroft but i aren't sure).  I saw a Pinto powered auto on ebay a while ago and my guess is that had the same conversion but i have never heard of another.

There was an Ashcroft Ford Gearbox>Series T/box adapter on Ebay a while ago.  Didn't make much either.  It would let you use a Type 9 five speed manual as well as the C3 auto.

The same adaptor that does Ford V6>Series gearbox conversion can also be used for Pinto or Zetec conversion (the Zetec tempts me in a masochistic way.....)

...damn she is low geared..........  8)  :D

Hey Jim,

We updated our 3 litre V6 to having Rangie diffs (low ratio / high geared), 3.54:1 rather than the standard 4.7:1. Makes a hell of a difference, the gearing is now about right, it adds about 25% to the gearing, course your speedo will be well out if you do it. Not sure about off-road as not been off-road with these diffs yet.

Well she ain't been touched her for a while but fired up first time, got high and low box 8) ! Checked the brakes, they are now free but needs new cylinders on the front but new shoes all round by the previous owner by the looks :) .  Also removed the x plys as they are sold and shoved on my grizzlys, they don't fit, too wide........
