driving in the North West
« on: May 02, 2006, 13:22:17 »
after a chat with swmbo about the excellent wages I receive every month and being skint for about 28 days waiting for the next wage
as i only work term time i have decided to get work in the school holidays, to fund things like living and enjoying myself
as I have a class 1 hgv (or whatever its called this week) I thought about some agency work????
I have driven large vehicles up until last year
not driven an artic for about 9 years so I don’t fancy that.
any body know where I can get some agency work in the north west or anybody got any suggestions as to what I could do to raise money for Land Rover things selling the wife or a kidney is not an option

it depends on the type of wage and type of work you are looking for

if you arent fussed then work for people like tescos stacking shelves or something or work for maccy d's

at least you are given set hours but with agency trucking you clock off when you finish i guess

G & Thursbys of Carnforth & Robinsons of Brock are looking for drivers in the tipper business. 8 Wheeler Rigids usually. Hours can be a bit hit and miss but pay is good, and you get a fuel discount.

All I can say is give them a bell and ask them, my dad drives with them (Not for them, but they work a lot out of Bardon Quarries) and Robinsons especially have more wagons than drivers ATM as they just took a new delivery of about 6.
