They need to get a life & realise that landrovers can do much more than schoolruns

Or maybe they are jealous that LRs get lots of publicity.

(and I don't even drive one)

TBH it was a fairly pointless excercise. You could do it with a £50 handheld GPS.....no need to wrap it in a D3. Also, the system in the D3 is also in the RR, RRS, Cadillac, Jaguar....the list goes on ;-)

Second question .... just exactly HOW did it work wrapped in a C30? External antenna??? Window?

I added my personal thoughts:

Quote
Unnesessarily biased and unfair.  Do you know anything about Land Rover?  The company that helped re-build post-war Britain.  The most versatile and useful vehicle ever.  School run specialist I don't think. As for beating seals, that comment was really pointless. Whatever next, leather interiors that go around mugging old ladies?  Really grow up and write something sensible.  What they have put in their vehicles is a great piece of technology, not something to be slagged off by some fool who knows nothing about that situation they are talking about.  Now go out and do your other favourite, protesting against the war in Iraq, or moan about a new road.

This is what I had to say

Listen if you want to complain about climate killers, Go to your local airport and lie down on the Runway, try stopping a couple a thousand tonnes of airplane polluting the planet.
Oh and bring some of your tree hugging friends with you.

So why oh why do i yet again find a peice of mindless moronic, Misinformed and Majorly Biased bit of work. For an objective peice of writing it isn't. Beside the fact you lot are as biased as Tony blair, And are willing to belive anything you are told by a minority pressure group who will concoct anything just to be listend to. You write in a biased manner too. No onw in ther right mind would belive this. No one with any form of an open mind and un bliknerd veiw would belive this hype ridden highly objective peice of biased, and immensly peice of unfactual writing ever. You lot deseve an award next to Milosovic, Hitler, Hussain, Stalin, Pol Pot for the most useless amount of propaganda produced this century.
Why can't you all get over the blinkerd views and actually go and find the facts http://Http://www.4x4Predjudice.org/ Will happliy inform you all in a balanced and unbiased view. Obviously something you over here haven't grasped the concept of. May i ask who actually tagut you how to write? as they failed to teach you one of the most basic skills needed for journalism OBJECTIVITY! I haven't even started on your own actual story
So A GPS system which happens to be used by one of the leading makers of 4x4's that actually go off tarmac and do so more than any other make. Just google for Off roading pictures and be greeted by masses of Land Rovers at legitimate off road sites all over the World!.
So what if this GPS is used for a plane? Anyone can buy it for their car. Whoop de doo, quick everyone buy this GPS it can be used in a plane, I could navigate it with a map, i navigate my Land Rover with a map does that mean I should be fitted to Land Rovers the World over instead? You also seem to miss the point that the GPS was origianly a military application, and that Satalite navigation is simply an electronic map which always knows where you are. The we ask what is the point of sat nav? Think How much more pollution a plane puts out. Lots more than your humble Land Rover. The muiltply that for the amount a space rocket puts out. Then multiply that by more than 2 dozen rockets it has taken to put those 24+ satalites into space. So you think the Co2 output from a car was high. just becase the planes system is used in a Land Rover there is no need what so ever to go on a Bigoted anti 4x4 hype tyrade which has as much depth as the skin on a rice pudding. As for the seal pup comment that is just pure flippancy built up on the above comments you have stated. which as proved to be meaningless. that too is meaningless.
As a silly remark in rebuttal. Given that it would require a 12volt electric current to power said small servo this would mean using batteries. Given the extremly cold atmosphere the pups live in and the weight of such equipment it would be wholley unfeasable in terms of cost and practaclitly to have elcetric powered club. Not to mention the speed is to slow and using a linkage to make it fast enough would cause the motor to be too stressed. and therefore burnout. thus causing yet more expense.
Yet again disproval of the rubbish you sprout. Now go back to school lean about the world and understand before opening mouth.

My regards.
