Give them a call, alternatively speak to Redlinemike...he's a landrover mechanic. (very handy person to have around when off roading :D )

with ref to the dexron3 I've had it said it will do as a stop gap but is a bit not to viscous so has'n't got the protection properties needed to prevent metal wear
whats your opinion on this
ps Im not doubt your expertise but would like your opinion on it

Obviously dont go out there and buy the cheapest available, and remember...Land Rover along with all vehicle manufacturers get paid hansomely for recommending a particular brand of oil.

All sorteed the oils have been done
the 32mm drain plug on the side of gearbox needed a bit of persuasion with club hammer on the spanner( no room for socket) to loosen it but it did the trick mind you it looked like thin gear oil that came out rather than transmission fluid
landrover certainly like making things difficult just had enough space to get an oil chain wrench on the bottom of the filter to remove it
the manual says place a 1/2 inch ext. in the filler plug for the transfer box that wasn't simple as the handbrake cylinder doesn't allow for a straight line
but at least I got it done and saved on the garage prices and labour  :D
quids in spent £80
trouble is dropped the extension piece and hit me in the mouth dental bill probably £300+ to replace the crown

Sorry to hear of the future dental bill, sounds painfull. Still keep on doin your own repairs and servicing and you'll soon get the cash back :D .
