new job
« on: May 19, 2006, 09:58:44 »
I went for an interview yesterday morning.

As a lecturer in Plant Maintenance

I took the guided tour of the local campus, the first workshop I went into had a Range Rover in.

I mentioned I liked Land Rovers and spent the next 10 mins talking to my guide about Land Rovers

He had a Freelander he uses for greenlining and seemed well into the green oval.

He also mentioned that the college had an off road course
We continued on the course and he introduced me to another Land Rover enthusiast

I did a presentation to a group, which included Land Rovers (of course) 4x4 response group and alternative fuels.

The presentation went well and the question and answers afterwards was interesting and enjoyable.

At 9 pm last night I was offered the job (subject to a couple of references from my HGV days)
Which of course I accepted

That sounds like a great job.
I think there was a place IIRC Harper adams who had their own off road course. And there was a course called ATV design or something along those lines. Sounded amazing any way.
