Car Parking Tickets

I was on Smyth Street in Wakefield (joins Westgate below Unity Hall) this afternoon & waved a woman* out of a car-park in front of me as  the traffic was fairly busy.
She was having trouble seeing out of her window & having to move her head to see around the (at least) half-dozen car-park tickets that were stuck there, plus gluey remnants of their predecessors.

Why not simply peel it off after getting back in the car, or if it's got time left offer it to someone else?, I do

If a Traffic Officer had spotted her, I think she would have received a few words of advice at the least.

I always place tickets on top of the dash.  They can still be easily read and it doesn't mark your windows.

nva stick em to my window purly because of that they always sit on the dash and normally go straight in the side pocket if they almost up kinda thing... if ive got loads left ill do the same and pass it on to some one if i see them.

I’m sure I read somewhere that passing on a parking ticket is now a criminal offence. Punishable by crushing your car plus 5 years in clink. :?

It's wrote on most machines (or the accompanying charges notice) that the ticket is 'Non Transferrable'



I'm not saying don't stick them on a window, just remove them afterwards so they're not causing an obstruction to vision.

On a similar subject... was at Tesco's last night filling the pool car up, two girls pull up in a 106, driver jumps out talking to her friend on her mobile and attempts to start filling the car.
Next time I looked she had one petrol pump nozzle in her hand, another pump nozzle twisted round the hose and lying on the roof of her car.
She couldn't quite figure out that the two buttons on the pump that were flashing that said pay at pump or pay at kiosk required some action on her part.
Then she looked round and said "am I doing something stupid?"

I kept the "yes just by being here" reply to myself  :twisted:  :lol:  :lol:
