how to become a artic lorry driver
ie C+E Licence
as a friend of mine wants to do his test and wants to know how to go about it
does he have to take his hgv c type first or can he go staight onto artics ect


been ages since i took mine :?

Depending on when he passed his test, he may have to take his 7.5T first.

Then C and then onto C+E.

C is any RIGID vehicle over 7.5T, but with a restricted trailer (something like 750kg).

C+E is the rigid PLUS trailer, ie artics, wagon and drag etc.

if u start at the bottom all u will have to do is your C (which covers anything above 3.5 ton ie your 7>5 ton) i would know i've just done both back to back!!!
