insurance - How much?????
« on: June 11, 2006, 21:02:42 »
Well got a quote from Lancaster insurance last week for my new motor.

200tdi disco '92 plate
2" lift
265/75/R16 mud tyres
(lift and tyres are the only mods)
4 years no claims bonus and only 3 points on my licence with a declared medical condition.

Quote from lancaster

£2000

Called Adrian Flux exact same info etc

£265

How can one company give such an extortionate quote and one give something slightly more sensible  :?:

Spoke to a few others and they gave fair quotes either that or wouldnt insure a modified motor which is fair enougth but £2000 - thats more than I'm paying for the car.

Lancaster £310 fully comp for my 200TDi disco, with no no claims bonus or other stuff, much cheaper than Adrian Flux ????. It is maddening when they vary by this amount.
