I used to work around London, and once parked in a narrow street, outside a clients house.
I parked as tight to the kerb as possible, which just left room for a transit to get past, and less than a metre from the car in front, with 1.5-2 metres at the rear.
A warden turned up as I was introducing myself to the client, and immediately gave me a ticket, and told me that if the vehicle was still parked there when he next came past, he would have it towed away.
I told him I'd like to see it... (3rd vehicle from the left)
