Bottom Shock Washer For Front LWB S3
« on: June 13, 2006, 19:21:15 »
Hi all

Went into our local LR specialist today to pick up 2 washers the ones that go over the pin that the front shocker sits on at the axel end.

I had priced these up at paddocks site at 19p +vat if memory serves but thought not in any rush so get them from the local place.

Went in asked for them sorry we dont keep them there £7 each and land rover part only I said I had priced them on paddocks and they said oh no there the wrong ones them there  not what you need.

So before I order them from paddocks can anyone tell me if they have had them from anywere and what they paid for them as I think £7 for what is affect a washer a bit on the stupid side and id ream a larger repair washer out and even double them up before I spend £7 on 1.

I have never had a problem with paddocks so im inclinded to belive what it says on there  site just thought id ask the question iv had lots of wasted time latley were parts havent arrived when they were promised and to be fair to paddocks they said next day and my kit was here so will go back to them no worries just dont want to sit here waiting for parts to find there wrong and having to find a work around.

All the best guys

Paul

my thoughts exactly from what I can see its basicly a flat washer with about a 15mm hole in the middle that goes on after you slide the shock over and then nock a split pin through so I cant see why its so special to be £7 each
