"Gasp. Shock Horror!"

Peter Wheeler the Chemical Engineer turned motor manufacturer has sold Britains biggest independantly owned Car company
(that's if you consider MG-Rover to be independant & entirely owned by the MD)

Yesterday Mr Wheeler officially handeed over 'The Keys' to a Nokolai Smolenski, the son of a major Russian banker & also Russias youngest millionaire.

He has already visited the factory to meet his new 400 strong workforce.
Quote;
"I am very enthusiastic about the companys potential & are grateful for the opportunity to become a car manufacturer."
"I have always admired British car design & manufacturing & believe the best automtive designers & engineeers are in this country"

Lets just see how things progress for this wonderful range of cars.

(Wonder if 'Ned' is being kept on as a stylist as well?)

Wheeler will remain on the Board as a 'Senior Consultant Overseeing Styling & Engineering'

Looks like we'd better start taking Russian lessons they're taking over. A russian has bought TVR this week I think.
Cheers, Karl..

It is indeed the purveyors of 'Blackpool Power' that have gone under the Hammer (& Sickle)

Peter Wheeler once said he'd only consider selling it to an English buyer.
Oh Peter, what have you done? :(

The big problems will come when these rich Russians lose interest.
Chelski FC wouldn't last long paying the wages, that they're contracted to, should their backer quit.

Maybe the car workers will get £100,000 plus a week.  :?

And the term fo ran X3 owner is a soft *********** whoops it's a family forum.
The only time they'll go off road is when the joyrider (I hate that phrase) takes it there with the police chasing him.

If you mean about the sequence from the first ever video of the 4x4 in the field (that got stuck crossing a ditch) it was a early 80's Range Rover
