Did a delivery there yesterday...WOW really hits you how fast a car is when it blasts past you (about 6feet away) on the other side of the crash barrier (jag convertible BTW) according to the guy that unloaded me it had been doing 170 + for about 3 hours   .. best part was he said they had a famous italian sportscar in a week previous.(F******).......apparantly the bang as the engine blew at 180 had to be heard to be believed ;).. and that was after 2 laps of their circuit!! lol
lots of funny looking vehicles about..plus about 50 crashed cars, nissan, mg, volvo etc!

My first employer used to supply (and probobly still does supply) all their data aquistion and crash test kit. I've had the Audi round that track, then on of thier drivers showed me how to do it properly/ We also had the Bedford Astravan clone round there too :)

Did you see the piles of smashed cars?
I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.

Been to MIRA and Millbrook, and Boreham come to that.  What a way to make a living :D

Funny thing though, when you see behind the scenes haw your Eurobox is designed and tested to destruction, then you see a £100+ supercar fall apart at about a tenth the life cycle testing, it makes them look a bit cr4p.

Hear some lovely engines near me from Rolls Royce Hucknall air field, they test all their jet engines there prior to despatch.

I relative of mine told me one in so many have to have a destruction test done on them for quality control

Heard one winding up last year then followed by an almighty crump, just like an artillery shell landing and it went very quite, I remember at the time thinking that sounded like it should not have happened

Not every problem can be solved with duct tape, and it's exactly for those situations we have WD 40
