its the middle one with a wavey line and a picture of a fan... I think its the coolant level but not sure can any one confirm please

Hi Darren,
I've got the same light that occasionally comes on, and as far as I'm aware it is the coolant level,
When it comes on I check the level but it's always ok, maybe it's just one of those rangie things.

Daza...
We had this problem on the 94 3.9 RRC we have. The wires had brocken on the resevoir cap but fixing them didn't make it go away. We had other minor electrical problems at the time and air suspension that was intermitent.
Turns out... it was some obscure relay (I know that doesn't help!) in the dash. The boys at
Douglass Motors
found it, changed it and all our ills were cured! :D
If you have other electrical issues... it might be worth thinking about.
Good luck

It's not a relay it's the dash board integrated ...... something something, expensive. Anyway, if there is no connection then the light flashes, so it's failsafe if you like. It's also notorioulsy unreliable and was deleted form the soft dash model. It's not uncommon to find a fuse stuck into the plugs that should go to the cap.

Hi
Just a thought, Take the top off of your header tank take in in home and give it a good clean soak over night in vinegar if it is covered in scale.
If its the same as the ones ive had they work on an electro magnetic field and any scum or scale will cause a false reading

They do indeed, its a magnetic reed switch and an anular magnet in the plastic float.
