Indicator Relay
« on: July 17, 2006, 22:59:46 »
Trying to finish of electrics on BT-R but can't get indicators to work.

They all operate when hazard switch is on, but can't get them to work normally.

Have new stalk fitted, but can't find relay even after taking all the front dash cover off.

Anyone any ideas

Chris,

Is it not on the bulkhead someware???

Put the hazards on and hear for the clicking and narrow it down from there

Darren

I've found a relay called "Haz" which clicks when the switch is activated but theres only two wires on this. the switch itself has six cables.

The O&M refers to both "Haz" and standard or heavy duty. its says that the normal relay is mounted above the Haz one, but theres nothing looking like the new one that i've got!!!!

Chris,

LEt me know the year or chassiss number of your beastie. I've got the CD's with the parts lists on. So I should be able to identify the relay location for you.

Thanks to chrisw for coming over and having a look.

Found relay, but not original and not where it should have been :!:  :!:

Found fault on wiring so chrisw had to rewire. need a couple of new relays and all should be well.

Thanks chris for your help.
