knocking from rear, A frame ball joint?
« on: August 22, 2004, 12:09:59 »
i am assuming its the A frame ball joint as it is a rattleing knock when offroading. i have bought the joint but this is one off those jobs i think is going to be a $$$$$ to fit. have any of you guys fitted one, any special tools needed, i am pretty competant as a spanner man so how long do i need to allow? does the whole assembly need to come off to do the job? thanks guys.

It can be done without presses and things.
A hub nut spanner sits nicely around the ball joint when you're trying to get it back in. Bish and bosh it and it'll go back in.

I found it easier to handle either on the arms or with a spare set bolted on.
