Tested shackles are more expensive than untested ones, and beware when looking around that you arent looking at stainless ones that are ment for marine applications, as certified s/steel shackles in the kind of tonnage we need are seriously expensive!

Have you tried arbil (foundry lane, fishponds trading estate)?

Never got anything from them myself but work buys all their lifting gear from them.

Arbils stuff is really good Bob and well priced - I use them all the time
