I'm going out in the garden to shout at something now..................
I thought that too, must be a new thing, like the No Free retest rule. £39 a time three MOT's (that's if it passes third time) £117 in MOT fees. Just made me even more pee'd off now I've worked that out.
I think the new system (computerised) requires a full retest. However, the fact they found different things suggests that either the first tester wasn't being thorough enough, or the second one had had a bad morning!Quote from: "MTyrrell" I'm going out in the garden to shout at something now..................If I see a flock of very frightened Sparrows hurtling by, I shall know why!

It is expected that a 'proper' test should be something like 45 minutes, so if a test station regularly undercuts this, they are checked out.So, because they have to fill the bay, they cannot do anything else while it's happening. So they really have to charge for the full time taken.
i'd demand the money back on the first test as it was obviously not up to standard.
My Disco is due on Tuesday, 10am.I think I'll be going by the garage for a gallon of petrol before I turn up at the MOT station.
