The shackles are fixed though two towing points on my steering guard
Quote from: "Disco Bristol"The shackles are fixed though two towing points on my steering guardIt very much depends on the situation. Generally straight pulls should be OK form one or other of your steering gaurd recovery points and pulls should really be straight anyway. If your having to be pulled sideways, then it should really be done with a winch and snatch block anchored somewhere in front to allow a forward pull.Anyway... a bridle (strop between yer recovery points to form a V) can be useful as it spreads the load somewhat.Hope this is useful.Skibum
What is a bridle made from, dont tell me thats another £50!!!
yeah i do try to go for the best, my shackles are rated at 5 tonnes and the snatch strap at 11 tons.
