THANKS JOHN T NICE DISCO WHAT WHEELS HAVE YOU GOT ON HER ARE THEY 8 SPOKE THANKS JUSTIN.
All the discos I have seen on here are 3 doors.Dont forget that fitting 33"s to a 5 door is quite a bit of work. Not just ozzy arches and a +2" lift.
Its just plucking up the courage to chop half the rear door out
It means you have to remove either a large portion of the rear door and arch which is not quite a simple as just cutting out on a 3 door to fit spats OR raise the vehicle 4/5" as this is the height required to stop tyres catching on standard bodywork . :? You could fit them with a 2" lift but they will catch the moment the vehicle leans or articulates.I have 33"s on my RRC and have had them on a 3 door disco and the arches are the same size.3 door rear arches are similar to the fronts on any LR where as 5 door rears involve cutting through the steel frame and ally skin then reatatching them and making sure the rear door still has a seal. You also have to reatatch the rear wing higher as the mounts were where the arch was cut.
Are they flexi or fibreglass/plastic ?I am opposed to the fibreglass/plastic ones as I dont want to go to the trouble of all the cutting only to smash on !I am hoping to fit some defender ones as A they are cheaper to replace and B flex so should not brake as often.
