Knowing how much the plastic is and how easy Vacuum forming is, and the more you produce, the cheaper they become, i would say that 180 is a little pricey, be careful not to price urself out of the market, even with patents. if you sold the arches untrimmed to MUDCLUB members then i am sure you would be a very popular guy. I was thinking of doing some myself at work but the bed of our former isn't big enough! Good LucK!

Can't really see the picture mate but my screen is turned down as I have a headache.

Anyway, ther are pros and cons to both materials.  The right plastic will be cheap to make, easier for you to handle and will resist knocks and chips perhaps better than GRP, which is by comparison more expensive to make, heavier and more rigid but takes paint better in most cases and can be repaired easily with no loss of strength.  It does suffer delamination damage though from seemingly small knocks.

I'd guess from your point of view a nice black ABS would be good, flexible, cheap, shiney but utterly impossible to repair satisfactorily, which means buying another :)

We are soon going to make some really indestructible flexible ones out of High Density Polyethylene. The properties for this are better than the abs option.Along with new designs.

HDPE, know it well.  You won't get paint to stick to that too well

Got to say though it's a bit daft painting plastic anyway as paint is often less flexible than the plastic and comes off again, in patches.

I'd certainly be interested in the new type.  I don't have any intention of painting them, and just need some tough wheel arches to keep me legal when I put on bigger tyres as soon as funds allow.

Please keep us posted on your progress.

I'll have some of those if they're made in flexible plastic. Some of the tracks I drive have gates that you can only just squeeze through with the mirrors folded back. GRP ones wouldn't last five minutes.

As for painting them . . . . Tarts

hello

Thankyou for all your questions of interest, support and indeed your sales. Some of you members have contacted us directly and some via pm.

Original pricing of our products have been greatly amended.

in view of  customer satisfaction and the usual high cost of vehicle modification parts. We have chosen to stick our necks right out in the marketplace and provide a product that gives good value for money and a structure of different specifications to suit.

Mud club members will qualify to a 10% discount......The new discovery arches will be ready late december 06.......,a new design is being implemented to complement  the range rover and should be ready in feburary 07........,the new designs will be more expensive but lower than 200.00.....

Can i ask (in the interest of the club and its moderators) that any further questions about our business be adressed through our website where new pages will be developed soon.
