A chassis change??
« on: August 22, 2006, 21:50:59 »
Hello to you all.
This is all new to me so let me try to exolain without boring you all to death
I have a 1967 SWB series running a standad set up including a smokey oil burner.
After reading about a wide variety of upgrades i was wondering how difficult it would be to put the series body on to a Rangey chassis and running gear and which chassis i would need to do this?
'67 Series
SWB SW
2.25 Derv
Parabolics Extended Shackles
Extended Shocks
RRC Diffs
750 x 16's
Roof Rack / Ladder
Bull Bar (Front) + Spots
14" Mountney steering wheel
Centre Cubby Box
Genuine L/R Oil Bath Air Filter for Snorkel
Snorkel
65amp 110 Alternator
*Staffie co driver (never complains and hates horses)*

'63 Series
SWB (open top)
2.25 Petrol (for now)
Rear Mount Tank

i woulnt know exactley, but it would be a hell of alot of work, including aluminium tig welding for altering the back tub to fit as well as a major amount of chassis modifieing. and after youve modified your chassis, having it retested for a Q plate (DVLA website says any chassis modifiing requires an SVA test).

Hi, get a decent, later oil burner and a set of parabolics and dampers. Better ride and it stays exempt,
