The scale is 1/100 btw that means a normal height guy is around 17-18mm and those jeeps are about 3cm long   :!:  :!:  :!:  :!:  :!:

I paint those size figures, and I think I do well but I would be REALLY happy if I could paint half as good as him

I used to paint space marines when I was a kid but never to that standard ! WOW is all I can say.
If he is painting them he has real talent. I used to find the girls in my local model shop were the best painters. :)

The time i used to waste painting and dry brushing my band of dwarfs (warhammer) and they were never good enough for me.  I enjoyed getting the models ready more than playing the tedious game.

....and it is that this point we *ALL* realise that somewhere we have some D&D/Warhammer/Toon/JD figures somewhere in our rooms.

I never played it although my mates did. I just liked painting the figures. Had a go at some orks and stuff but prefered the space marines. 8)

Years ago I scatchbuilt a BaneBlade for a mate who was into the games.  Took me all summer but I had nowt better to do as I was on placement from Uni.  I started using inks as well as paint for detailing models but it's one of those skills you have to keep up, I'd propbably just get a headache now.

A mate of mine is well into them little models.  He put a high intensity L.E.D. into the end of a wizards wand and the battery in the base (very small battery).  You couldn't see the L.E.D. untill it was switched on and the wiring was all hidden.  It took him a week of free time to do it and it took some-one else a second to nick it off him.
