Well done dew1911, series3_mad, and mud-club-matty - hope all your results were what you expected and are what you need to do whatever you plan next (job, college, etc).

Can remember getting my GCSE results (6 years ago now, and still haven't started working... lost track of how many exams I've done now!!), very exciting day!!  And don't get too drunk tonight!!!!!  :lol:  :wink:   :lol:

Thanks everyone, gotta say I was aiming for 3 Cs, so to get 6 is a fantastic result! Means I can get into College, but not work out sums (Maths), Get there (Geography), Or speak (English) :D

That's Basically it.
A & A* is for the clever s**ts
B-C is Pass
D-G is Fail
U is Ungraded, AKA didn't even meet the minium mark.

congratz to every one; including the ones who got A levels result (like me) last week.

The most important thing is that you are happy that you did your best and that you can do what you wanted to do with them.

BTW, i got 3 C's and and A for my A / AS levels so i'm well chuffed. :D

I don't know how the levels work, but My son got A* for maths at 15 he does the rest next year and tells me he does a As 1/2 A level for his maths next year as-well,
I can see this is going to cost a lot of dosh later on cos he will want to go to college and doss a bit  :)

D-G isnt a fail  with gcse`s as long as u have a grade other then U then you have passed in the subject

What was wrong with A(+) B(+) C(+) (passes) and D(+), E(+), U (fails)?

Why introduce an A*??? That's like having a "more urgent" pile and an "urgent" pile surely?

Or can you get B* and C*????

Oh...and before I get shot - congrats to ALL who did pass :-) Just wondering why keep re-inventing the wheel :-)

I am just about to start my last year at school  :? but after that im FREE :D to wake up late and work on ma dads disco without school in the way......Im just dreading my GCSE,s but i hope i get a minimum of 3-4 C,s and i will be veryy pleased.....im already predicted an A* in food studies :shock:  and everything else is C-E,s..............Congrats to all who have finished theirs and i cant wait to finish mine..
