Looks good to me :)

Lets hope when they re-do it properly for 2010 itll be a facelift and really really good interior, but this is a nice stopgap.

All we need now is a lighter chassis using some modern materials, them to stop mixing ali and steel because its the worst idea ever and causes electrolytic corrosion and to stick a nice V6/V8 diesel in it too :D Oh, and somthing resembling build quality would be nice too  :P

the new FREELANDER passed me today on the M42 by Redditch, not very nice looking in black. Thought it was a VOLVO, in the rear view, on a 06 plate left-hooker...

i notice that they have got rid of the air vents from below the windscreen too..

I wont be buying one, but may well end up with one as a company car, as all our company cars are Defenders....  :(

It does have 6 gears tho!

I wish this project would just hurry up and finish!

But I don't think it will if I keep making simple mistakes

No bulkhead vents is criminal, they are great mine are never shut.  They are a Landy trademark.

Agreed, with those open and the Sunnie you get a very nice airflow. One hot days its still cool in there. Other than that bit I don't think it looks to bad...

Something strange happening with the rear tub body cappings
The 90's appear to have 2 joins on either side - this will be a future rot spot
The 110 doesn't appear to have any joins ?

They've really gone out on a limb on the external styling then.

I'm sure the book on the car will state there is 100's of changes.
Apart from a big bonnet bulge and no vents i cant see much else.
 :?

I wonder how the Army will get on with the new dash and lack of vents?
Also, am i seeing this right?
The 90 only has 4 seats.
4 seats?
It appears to have lost 2 from the back.
That might change the market on them (maybe?)
 :?:

Yes you are, it's to do with EU regulations concerning sideways facing seating (or the outlawing of it)

Hmmm, the flaps will be missed! Yeah the interior was due for an update, but it was its simpleness that was its charm for me! I like hosing out the inside of my landy!

Did i hear somewhere that the army are looking into Santana's for their vehicles?

the 2007 defender will have a 6 speed gear box

I see they've made great improvements to the door hinges and screws too !!!  NOT. Come on LR, it would cost you all of a £5 to fix the problem !!!  Oh I forgot, you have spent a fiver, stick more shims in !!! Still leaks like a sieve.

I think the bonnet bulge gives the game away, along with the 6 speed box, and I think they might, just might sell more CSW with the forward facing seats, at least I could put the kids in nicely (if someone bought me a new one that is)

Fine until you have mroe than 2...currently i am ok, with only 2, however we do on occasion use all 6 seats the defender has to cart people around so dropping down to 4 is a pretty poor show.

Bar the pod vents on the dash, the interior looks good, with decent seats in the back too. Not sure on the bonnet.
