Flasher Relay.
« on: September 10, 2004, 18:12:23 »
Ever since I put a 300 series rear bumper on my 200 the trailer warning light always flashes when using the indicator's instead of the proper indicator dash light.

I presume it is because the 300 bumper has the two bumper lights and my flasher relay thinks that a trailer is always hooked up.

I don't think the 300 flasher relay will just fit in instead of my 200 relay due to the number of pins?

So what can I do?

Re-wire in a 300 flasher relay, change the bulbs in the bumper for a lower wattage, fit LED bulbs?

This is bugging me now so I want to try and fix it, any advice welcome

Take the bulb out of the warning light

I presume you check when you hook up a trailer to see if lights are working anyway

Not every problem can be solved with duct tape, and it's exactly for those situations we have WD 40
