Is it likley to be a DIY stripdown job?just check the shift linkages, if its been on saltwater its probobly corroded solid. Theres quite a lot of places down here but thats not really close.

no disrespect, but gear linkages dont corrode and siezethe most common cause of not bein able to select gear is adjustmentfor those with controls its 9/10 cables need adjusting correctly at the engine endand for those on tiller, its the splitter in the leg that as worked itself loos as usual and is slippingin vary rare cases where water as found itself in the gearbox, its rust the clutch dogdannymy bet is adjustment
yus thats the one why you a customer ?or just in the trade ?dont no you off top of head.... but hey slept since then
