Stands would be a good idea as it would save any potential tyre problems with deforming or cracking around the bulge on the floor. Give it a right good clean underneath in all the nooks and crannies but allow it time to dry off before you put it away. Leave the hand brake off. Give your uj's a good dose of grease. A full service wouldn't be a bad idea. Ideally connect your battery to a battery maintainer (a device that discharges and trickle charges your battery to keep it in tip top condition), Failing that remove it and keep it somewhere that isn't going to get really cold over winter. If it's petrol don't leave it with a lot of fuel in the tank as petrol goes off and it will save you 60 litres worth of poor performance before you refuel. Make sure your antifreeze is up to a potentialy harsh winter. In reality you could get away with just parking it up and walking away and all would be fine when you came back (except for a flat battery), but you may as well take every precaution you can. :)
