if theres anyone living in the matlock area and is free around 4pm today
can you help with the recovery of a mates discovery

he got it trapped and managed to kill his gearbox we have now got to rescue it and would apreciate any help available



if you can help we shall be at the train station entrance around 4pm ish
i am in a s3 lwb grey and white
please help  
if you have a winch that would help loads.

Well i got there at 4:35 due to heavy traffic and slow sunday drivers. I'm guessing that you had already gone, I hung around until 5:20 just in case. I hope you managed to recover him :)

Glad to here it, your winch would have come in very handy, we ended up with 3 vehicles pulling the stricken Disco  :roll:

Your winch would have made light work of it - it might be time to give my credit card a bashing soon  :twisted:

If a trip to Derbyshire is a nice day out, why not head over to our pub meet a week on Wednesday (4th), it's not much further than Matlock  :?

theres a day out coming up soon (the 7 oct 9 am start ) i will let you know the meeting place as soon as i know it. :?  why don't you tag along and i think we could make room for dan too . bring a mug i will be serving soup from the back of my landy too

If you click on the link in my signature below it brings up the thread, and my first post should tell you where it is....

... but just in-case, we meet at:

The Castlewood Pub, first wednesday in every month, it's on the A38 Eastbound, just off junction 28 of the M1, 300 yds down the A38 turn left (you'll see the signs).

We start at 8ish and usually leave when we get thrown out at closing time  :lol:

The pub does food, some of us come early to have a meal in the 'quiet' end, some have a meal while we chat/argue/discuss (delete as appropriate) and some of us just watch and get hungry  :roll:

If you came through Matlock on your way to us, then we'd be about 15 minutes further, but there is probably a better way
