Just got a few piccys working on my site that had suffered broken links.

Thought they may be of interest to some here, especially if your looking to purchase a 15 Year old rangie it'll give some clues as to what to look for.

Excellent though had I kept it any longer I'd have put a support on it to stop the lap toip screen it's self being wonkey in extreme situations.

I flogged it for £10    as It wouldn't fit our Disco because of all the motors and what have you under the seats. The Rangie was just the manual handle.

The laptop it's self affixed to the mount using velcro which may sound lightweight but it wasn't going anywhere and took quite a bit to part the laptop and mount when the need arose.

Only other downside on modern Landies being airbag issues.

I use a PDA now which has overcome all the above but the laptop screen was far better.

No more piccys sadly of the lap top holder. Where it mounted o the seat it had one horizontal support held in place clamped by the front seat bolt near the tunnel, then the tube I used continued rearwards and had a plate on the end which bolted to the rear seat frame on the floor. Only required one hole drilling to fit.

The Verticle part of the mount sat in the lower part and was clamped in place by a liberated chair knob  :D

As for the other welding... take a peek at the JLO section of my site.
