What would you have played at your funeral?

Bat out of hell?

Sweet child of mine?

I think I'd go for Twisting by the pool by Dire Straits, just for the fun of it.

The ones 'for a giggle' for me would be;

Bernard Cribbins 'The Hole'

Harry Belafonte 'The Banana Boat Song' (just something about it  )

Yazz 'The Only Way Is UP!' (don't like the song but, hey!!)

Steve Earle & The Del McCoury Band 'Graveyard Shift' (top tune & one of my favourite CDs; 'The Mountain')

The Meteors 'You Can't Keep A Good Man Down' (from the 'Meteor Madness' EP)
Richard A Thackeray
Defender 110Td5 'Heritage Gone, but not forgotten
Jaguar XKR; X88 JLT, also 'gone, but not forgotten'

Yorkshire Born & Bred, and proud of it.

At the opposite end of the spectrum, I wanted the 'Post Horn Gallop' to walk out of the Church to, when we got married.

I was out voted though (for some reason)  :?

SWMBO and I left the ceremony to "Let's face the music and dance" by Nat King Cole.  No, really, it was her idea.  We also had a reading of "How to Look After Your Husband" from a 1950's "Good Housekeeping" that had the guests in stitches.

For the funeral?  "When I'm Old And Wise", by the Alan Parsons project is the serious suggestion.

Otherwise... hmm...   "Running Free" by Iron Maiden seems like a good idea.   "Comfortably Numb" by Pink Floyd might also work.   Or insist on a cremation and have "Great Balls of Fire".

Nothing else Matters - Metallica - At the end

2nd...

For introduction, I'd Have Freebird by Lynard Skynard (the full 9 minutes)

In the middle, boy george (Jaunty, and yet so slightly camp)

As the coffin disappears - Buring ring of fire by whoever did it.

Metallica as above to end.

Quote from: "Dreadnought"
Stairway to heaven -  Led Zep

Freebird - Lynyrd Skynyrd

Always Look on the Bright Side of Life - Eric Idle

Heaven can wait - Meatloaf

Bloke after my own heart lol - That's a stunning selection.
