Eric Clapton did an ace version of that one.  I think its a traditional song (no-one knows who wrote it).

I like the idea of 'Always look on the bright side' as an intro.

and Eric Claptons' 'Edge of Darkness', an instrumental masterpiece as loud as possible so that when it kicks in it may even revive me!

As i go in i think "jesus built my hotrod - minstry" cos everyone i know hates it, then during the buriel it would have to be "Adagio For The Strings - Samuel Barber" as its one hell of a piece of music!

When did that happen?


The poor old chap died in September 2003, officially of complications due to Diabetes.
His wife  June had died a few months previously, so the family still think it was basically a 'broken heart'.
