Auto Headlights

Is anyone experiencing problems with the auto on/off headlights on an aventura. Mine used to be fine but now they seem very intermittent normally staying on all the time, or sometimes only going off if the ignition is turned off. also they are too sensitive, coming on when passing under bridges etc. this obviously turns them on never to go off again!! Where is the sensor, i thought it was by the interior mirror, but i now think this is the rain sensor.
