had the RAC come and replace the screen on the bus today only took them 10 days to locate and fit from the first phone call so im very happy now and only £50exs

also had a call from auto glass yesterday to say that the screen is nolonger avalible and would need to get one made for £760 +vat plus £700 fitting what a load of crap was my reply dont think they wanted the job only called them on the 30 august and they came out five times and had photos emailed to them and still couldn't sort it and the rac came out once to look and once to fit it so much for auto glass

Rac are good.

When I needed a new screen they came out and they said I needed new plastic surrounds as the ones that were there werent good enough as who ever did the screen before my time broke most of the plastic clips and they were amazed my screen was still in place  :shock:

I told them I was going on a long journey in 4 days time and needed to get my car through the MOT and the cracked screen (that happened on the way to the MOT  :twisted:  ) was the only thing stopping my car from passing. They came out 3 days later with all the bits whilst I was at work. I hid my car keys in the garden for them and the documents and cheque in the car etc and they did it for me. Fab service. Even the cheque was made out to too much money as the excess on the insurance certificate was wrong and was £20 less beciuse they use some special glass I got a discount on. they phoned me up a few days later and asked me to send in another cheque and they tore up the wrong one.

Also if you pay privately to mend a chipped screen you get a free windscreen cleaning kit that is the dogs bits!

Highly recomend RAC for windscreens and recovery.
