One of my most memorable is Don Henleys 'Boys Of Summer'

The first time I heard it was whilst driving at Sandsend (just north of Whitby) with the girlfriend (now SWMBO) & it was just so evocative of lost loves, summer etc.....

It's still got to be one of the perfect driving songs??

Favourite song is a very difficult one, as it may change from week-to-week
If you take it as the most played track, it would be either;
'I'm Still In Love With You' Steve Earle & The Del McCoury Band (featuring Iris Dement)
'The Green Fields Of France' The Men They Couldn't Hang
'Our Town' Iris Dement (it's the imagery that gets me)
'Down To The River' Alison Krauss & Union Station (pure gospel Acapella)

Most of Bruce Springsteens & Johnny Cashs offering also enthrall me
Richard A Thackeray
Defender 110Td5 'Heritage Gone, but not forgotten
Jaguar XKR; X88 JLT, also 'gone, but not forgotten'

Yorkshire Born & Bred, and proud of it.

Difficult one to decide--- kinda depends on the mood

So i guess    Happy= Prodigy, no good start the dance,
                      Sad=    Madonna, Take a bow
Singing badly to = four non blondes, bigger better more (the whole album)
Reasons  Prodigy-- proper old school illegal raver  :(music):
Madonna --  Personal reasons but kinda obvious if ya listen to it
Four non blondes -- Just proper loud kinda stuff really :(biglaugh):
TD5 with a few Tweaks ;o)
a bit more fuel friendly than the V8

metallica nothing else matters - probably my favourite
memorable?? hard but either
wonderful world - louis armstrong
perfect day -lou reed (or even the bbc version)
dock of the day - otis reading (i think)
sufferd from depression when i was younger (and to a certain extent still do) and these tunes although down beat used to help a lot..BUT if pushed for a most memorable tune then i'd have to say
Duran Duran - The Chauffeur
at full blast that would make a dead man shiver - just something about the tune that hits me...still does - 1st few bars and my mind is back in 1983
Be afraid. Be very afraid
YAM YAM SQUAD
Life's a journey - so remember to pay FULL fare!

This is impossible to say.

Almost anything by Marrilion (with Fish)
Early Genesis
Dire straits (a few)
Beethoven (loud)
Nina Simone singing 'Mr Bojangles'

I just like music.

As for most memorable:

This takes on a much more potent meaning when you have children of your own!

That's high on my lists as well, a really great song from a band not known for the slower stuff. Also loved their cover of Whisky in the Jar.

How about that recent song that was on practically all the time on Radio 2, written by the lady who had cancer & wrote it for her daughter

It was called 'How We laughed' & was set to music & produced by Billy Bragg (who also played guitar)
Can't remember her name, or the singer :?
