« on: October 08, 2006, 18:33:42 »
SWMBO went out shopping in eastbourne today for the day   at somepoint while parked in the local shopping centre the sticker below appeared on the car, luckily for whoever put it there she didnt catch them at it or the ensueing punch up would have made local news for sure
thing is the cowards didnt stick anywhere you would notice they very carefully syuck it on the sodbury sticker already in the back window (which is yellow) so it would be hard to notice
SWMBO is on the warpath now    i pity the next person to comment on how she is destroying the climate

Does it say who's sticker it is, any website URL on it?
I was just wondering if Land Rover knew that their trademark was being used on it and thought maybe you could point Land Rover in the direction of a site owner for their lawyers to have a word with??

Same thing happened to me a couple of years back. Somebody objected to the Countryside Alliance sticker I had on the Disco and left a note on my screen. The note was casting doubts about my parentage and also that I was 'an environmental facist and terrorist'.

As said earlier, send and email with the image to land rover about their trademark being used..

Do you think we could get hold of a small boat, float out to the Rainbow warrior and stick a massive "One life, Get one" sticker on the side?

Hello Neal! I Agree with LandyLooney and Budgie!
Take a photocopy of it and send the Photocopy to Land Rover!
And send the Original back to Greenpeace "Stuck on a Brick" And Send it  Registered Post Next Day and COD? And see if they like it?
Give a false Name and Address of sender or find out one of there own members name and address and put that on the sender label!
That might get Em Going?        8)

 love that idea!!

The sticker reminds me of the type of crap that gets spouted from the tree hugger Greenpeace lover that the people I work for have recently employed.

I just take great pleasure from arriving at work in comfort in my 'gas guzzling' Range Rover while he arrives wind-swept, cold and generally wet (thanks to the English weather) on his fold up bike

Sent the following note to Land Rover on all our behalfs. Be interesting to see what happens given the invasion they had a Lode Lane a while back by Greenpeace... no love lost I wonder?!

Quote
Dear Land rover,

As a dedicated land rover owner of some years and a keen off roader I was disappointed to hear about the experience of a fellow "Mud clubber" (www.mud-club.co.ukl) whose vehicle was targeted by a Greenpeace associated organisation's stickering campaign.

As the sticker in question carries the Land Rover logo I felt sure tyour legal department would be interested in the matter and any action would help those of us who choose to own and run your products.

You can view the "post" at:
http://forums.mud-club.com/viewtopic.php?t=30640

If you read down the post in question you will find a member has done some research and provided information indicating that the organisation is part of Greenpeace.

Hi guys, I followed a link to this from LR4x4.

Thought you might enjoy my efforts at glastonbury where there were a lot of those "Climate Criminals" stickers going round while the police, ambulance & fire service were struggling to keep the festival safe & secure amongst all the mud using, err, Defenders and Discos    Although I didn't notice any greenies trying to sticker the Fire Brigade Pinzgauer, presumably 6x6's aren't climate criminals then

I really hope LR (or someone) screws them over on this one. I too have tried joining Greenpeace-active but not gotten very far, perhaps I need to try harder so I can turn up to protests in my 100% recycled Range Rover, oh the humanity!  :D
