Now correct me if I am wrong but the ford ranger is a 4x4 yeah? So why does it have a 1tonne towing capacity as I have just heard on the radio and they were boasting about how much it can tow. 1 tonne is nothing!

Maybe just me!

surely there must be a mistake somewhere? considering our old landies will tow over twice that with ease....

What Neal said. We were looking at getting one till we actually realised how long a £17k veichle would still look good for after pay&play + laning. Ples they have an evil overhang on the back. Also, not all of them are 4x4s. Most North American spec ones arent as the F150 fills that niche. And The one I originally looked at here wasnt.

We dont get the V6 3lt or Triton V8 versions either :(
I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.

Most 4X4 that have selectable 2/4xdrive have this 'limit'.
By the time you add the weight of the vehicle, the trailer and the load, you have a train weight of 5500kg.
One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors.
