I JUST WONDERING IF YOU COULD HELP.I,VE GOT A 1994 DISCO 300TDI.THE FAULT IS THAT IT KEEPS FOULING UP NUMBER 3 GLOW PLUG WITH OIL. NUMBER 1,2,4 ARE FINE. JUST WONDERING IF THERE IS A OIL GALLERY NEAR THERE. HAS ANY ONE HAD THE SAME FAULT

I just replaced all my plugs and no.3 on mine was also black (looked like carbon) but all the other were clean. Don't know why though.

If the fouling is oil, could be a valve seal or piston rings
If it is soot, might be worth checking the injector for fouling, or incorrect spray pattern, of the break off preassure is out

Need to do a compression test first, then squirt some oil in the bore and retest it, if the compression goes up, it will probably be a top end prob
