afink its 3 times but not sure, but can you be sure of the history of these bolts
i usualy get a new bolt set if im working on a unknown engine, just on the safe side as i dont want to be ripping it bits again to get a snapped bolt out
as for price wise, if its anything to go by on the tdi rang, go  to your bank and get a morgage

Think I paid about £25.00 for the last one I purchased, seems a bit steep that. Price of the bolts sounds good so I'll take you up on your offer for them if that’s ok. I'll let you know about dipstick etc, thanks John.

I had to do for someone a Metro 1.1 that had a snapped timing belt and bent three valves . They removed the bent valves, skimmed the head, recut all the valve seats, refitted and ground in valves, supplied gasket set and super long head bolts for £120.

If you need to ask any questions they're really helpful too  8)

Well thwey cost peanuts in the scheme of things but AFAIK they can be re-used indefinitely.

They are not stretch bolt, ie the type you angle tighten, so they have no finite life, that's why there is no reference in the manual to new bolts being fitted.

If you are fitting new ones get a stud set from RPI so as not to risk stripping a thread.
