The Disco's MoT is booked for Wednesday morning, should be ok - providing the tester doesn't look too closely at the windscreen (small stone 'dink' right in the drivers line of sight), and a small leak around the steering box........might run it past the jet wash on the way to the test  [-o<

And then the 110 goes for its test in the afternoon - they took the booking without question, but when they see the vehicle and log in, they might refuse to test it on the grounds that its over 3500kgs in weight. Will have to wait and see what happens !

i had that trouble with my old 110, the test station refused to test it as they reckoned it was overweight.... and a commercial vehicle....

took it to a proper landrover specialist, and had it MOT'd no problem...

anyone around in south essex, try RJ Harvey in rayleigh...

Have you used Howe's then ? - I've heard good reports about their Saab work, but only found out recently that they'd gone green oval as well.

Yep, always used them for the SAAB and my last 3 green ovals, they also do LPG. They service my RR and do the MOT's for me.

Would recommend them.

I will be speaking to them soon regarding a discount for MC members, will let you know how I get on.

Result - the 110 passed this morning !

After a 20 min phone call to VOSA, and a long discussion with the MOT guys at Howe Engineering in Hare Street yesterday, Howe's said that they would do the test (cos its a hard top, and has a GVW of 3500kgs, all other Class IV stations say that they can't do it - wrong !!!)
