Why all at once?
« on: November 01, 2006, 09:08:43 »
Well afte rthe Zook getting hit I have another problem. Audi is making a really ominous knocking sound from No5. Sounds like it could be pinking/detonation so ECU, Plug or something wrong in the cylinder I guess. Might be head off time.

So thats 2 cars out of three dead. Wonder what's next? :S
I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.

Check that there shouldn't be a knock sensor, if this has gone down it will knock, obvioulsly.

ECu is flagging up code 53 (OK) so I dont think its the sensor, and its only cylinder 5, which is odd. Might whip the plug and injector out tonight and I'll have to put some fuel in later so might fill 'er up with optimax.

On the Plus side, just been offered an identical car with different box/engine combo but the same colour for £200 So that saves me paying out for a respay + wing, bonnet, boot lid and infill strips. Easilly £200 worth.
