opps spent too much!!!! :(
« on: November 07, 2006, 12:28:14 »
ok i was looking for a lift for my truck, which would lift it 2" and not cost to much....... and after a a few weeks at looking on the net and mags looking at all the kits on the market which would do the job, i finaly found one, which even inlcuded the extended brake lines.....

well after finding it i looked on there web site on a saw that the pricies where cheaper (most proberly not including VAT i thought) but when i looked at the bottom of the page it said "all prices plus vat"

so i just rang them and asked what weights there can do the springs in, for my added weight in the future..... they told me that all the weight that i intend to add in the futur would push the springs down from 2" to about 1.3"......

so i asked about the 3" as the prices were cheaper and they said it wud push the springs down to about 2.5"...... perfect i thought!!!!!!

then i reilised that the only reason i wanted  a 2" lift was so i didnt have to worry about the castor to much....... now i was going to go over that by half an inch, so i asked about the castor correction kit, as the prices were cheaper... (bloody hell there werent that much cheaper :( ) and ended up getting one of them.....

after that i thought if im getting all this i might aswell get a poly bush kit as the standard ones wont last with the extra angles on them.....

after asking for all the items he told me the actual price   i thought everything included VAT..... nope did it hell so VAT was then added

after nearly an hour on the phone asking about all the stuff i felt like a bit of an arse to say no i dont want it now, so i ending up having it.....

all i wanted was a 2"lift with extended break lines at a cost of £270... now ive just bough a 3" lift, castor correction kit, and poly bush kit costing.....................................

£650

so guys and gals, if something says "all prices plus VAT" this means you need to add VAT lol

oh well im looking forward to recieving everything now :D
I LOVE MUD!!!!!! but my engine doesnt

Just as an idea, the genuine Polybush kits cost from £90 up for the full vehicle kit, minus the rear A-frame bushes.

I've got Polybush Blue's fitted and not had a problem in over three years.  :D

That's not quite the end of it either, you'll end up wanting a TD5 front prop too :(

If it's any concelation I'm in the doghouse for spending about 10 times that on an RS2000, but I've wanted one since I was a kid :(bigsmile):
