I know that the SD rack's are interchangeable except that the D2 rack is slightly longer so you may get some overhang putting a D2 rack on a D1.

I have seen them go for £40- 150.
With a little bending a 90 rack fits straight on.
I dont think the length will be a problem as its not a full lenth rack

i have a td5 safety devices roof rack on my 300 tdi it fits a treat needed a little adjusting to get the front legs to sit in the gutter because of the extra length but other than that i think it looks spanking
