At 11:00

Did anyone else hear this & the newsreader laughing at the story of the man who'd lit a firework whilst clamping it in his buttocks

As suggested by Ken Bruce, try the 'Listen Again' feature.
The story was removed from the Noon bulletin... for some reason :(biggrin):

According to the press, the guy was a squaddie who was bored. I've heard of an army game called 'Dance of the Flaming A**eholes, but I don't think it involved fireworks!

'Dance of the Flaming A**eholes

Well if it's the same as the post-Rugby match game of the same name; it involves stuffing one end of a long strip of toilet roll up one's jacksie; setting it alight and downing a pint before the flames reach 'ground zero' (IF you down the pint; your team mates put it out for you by dousing the flames in whatever liquid is to hand!)
Boys will be boys, eh??
